DCCPF RECEIVES $15,000 GRANT TO RESTORE COURTHOUSE ENTRANCE DOORS

December 12, 2008
The Davis County Courthouse Preservation Fund (DCCPF) has received a $15,000 grant from the Davis County Community Foundation (DCCF) to replace or restore the Courthouse’s east and west entrance doors (including wood trim) and replace the west entrance stoop.

The County Board of Supervisors will provide $15,000 of the $30,000 required for the project. “The doors provide a highly visible improvement project that will appeal to county residents, tourists and will save substantial heating and cooling costs”, said Supervisor Dale Taylor.

Tom Prosapio and several DCCP Board Members were present to receive the award.  Prosapio is Owner’s Representative for the County Supervisors

The DCCPF Board voted to seek grant funds in 2009 for entrance doors, west entrance stoop and clock tower structural projects contingent on matching cash being provided by the County Board of Supervisors.
